Located in the Ashford countryside, Singleton Environment Centre is a sustainable venue owned by Ashford Borough Council and operated by registered charity, Singleton Spaces. We were approached to create a new website for the centre, with the brief of bringing its online presence up-to-date. They needed a cost-effective solution due to a limited budget, which was how it ended up being one of our first PB Lite creations.

The previous site was hard to navigate so we created a fresh, new design. The cleaner design meant that the centre could get all their key messages across in a far easier way. Our design team also created a new logo, which was a modernised version of their previous logo, but in keeping with their brand identity as an environment centre. To encourage this brand message further we maintained a forest green and white colour scheme throughout the website.

Another key part of the brief was to ensure that even those that were unfamiliar with updating websites would be able to do so easily. In response to this, our development team created the site on WordPress, which is very user-friendly to update. The previous site was also extremely slow to use, which we tackled by hosting the website on our own secure server.
